Polaroid emulsion lifts

Polaroid emulsion lift is a process where the surface layer of an instant photograph is separated and transferred onto a new material. It is delicate, unpredictable, and often destructive. I work with this technique to let go of perfection and embrace chance. The image stretches, tears, floats, and reforms in ways I cannot fully control. Through this process, the body becomes less a subject and more a memory, a trace, a suggestion. Each piece holds the tension between presence and disappearance, between what stays and what slips away.
